Sex on TV

I’ve always been into the amazing but rarely appreciated value of sonic perception (EG being able to hear). Jumping out of Sexify (2021) and dragging you by the ears into a provocative Polish university narrative, is sound design. The soundtrack is spliced in. Sometimes abruptly and burst-like to match facial expression and others, sprinkled on top as an emotional garnish. In either instance, the production quality of this sonic layer is something close to perfection.

Next level, its’ strength comes from complexity. Rhythmically playful, welcome to an amalgamation of computerised synth, discordance, poetic harp, sexy moaning and live recordings, some met with a hearty bassline. The main theme has a multi-track build via songs titled “loading... X%“. My fave “100% conclusion” joins the credits and will naturally get an aggressive fist pump going, if not you out of the sofa. Others well worth a listen =
